This artwork stands at the intersection of who I am — an artist, a native of this neighborhood, a futurist, an innovator, a business owner, and someone deeply committed to social impact. Last year, Aerotropolis focused on “Shaping Tomorrow Today.” This year, the theme is “Progress Through Partnership.” This piece intentionally holds both visions at the same time.

At the center is the portal — a visual declaration that what we are building here is meant to usher us into a new timeline. A new future. A new identity for the Southside. The portal symbolizes what becomes possible when our collective energy aligns — when an entire region steps forward together, moving into a new timeline with one shared vision.

As a product of this region, I NEVER thought I would see this. I never imagined that South Atlanta would become a global connector… a leader… a model for what visionary planning and sustainable growth can look like. This artwork reflects the alignment that becomes possible when every part of a developing community — government, business, creatives, educators, innovators — pulls in the same direction and creates ecosystems where people like me can truly thrive.

You’ll also see elements from our natural environment, including gems like the Flint River, woven intentionally into the design.
Because our future cannot exist without our roots. Innovation should never erase what makes a place sacred — it should elevate it. This piece is my love letter to what we are becoming: A region stepping confidently into a new era, shaped by partnership, vision, and the people who call this place home.
